About the event
Please park at the Lock House 8 parking area and walk down the trail to the Lock House. Jack Mandel, Zach Leverenz and Dallas Harrison will greet you there. Then you will walk about 75 yards to the canoe launch area and depart for the island.
Note:
o Due to recent rains, the canoe launch and landing areas might be muddy. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
o Canoe passengers must wear life vests going to and from Minnie's Island.
o Swimming in the Potomac River is prohibited due to strong currents and hazards.
o Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets.
