About the event
The Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT) awarded Minnie's Island Community Conservancy (MICC) a mini-grant for the purposes of expanding the tree canopy on island; engaging local residents to support conservation efforts; and increasing community awareness of our local natural resources.
In March, a dedicated group of volunteers assisted with transporting, planting and caging 15 new oak trees purchased with grant funds. We invite you to join MICC and the CBT at Isle-Fest to appreciate those and other restoration efforts, as well as to learn more about the history and beauty of this hidden treasure. It will also be a great time to socialize with neighbors, relax and simply enjoy the outdoors.
For your comfort and safety, we suggest you bring:
Sturdy footwear
Water bottle/hydration pack
Lifejacket (we have spares if needed)
