Minnie's Island Community Conservancy (MICC) invites CLEAR Potomac and local stakeholders involved in the spill response to gather on Minnies Island (aka Ground Zero) to celebrate the Potomac.

About the event
Who: Invited stakeholders or organizational representatives
What: MICC will provide canoes, life jackets, drinks (including beer and wine), snacks, and a light dinner. The Montgomery Sycamore Island Club will provide paddlers for the short flat-water trip to and from the island.
Where: Minnie’s Island in Cabin John, MD. Parking is at Lock 8 parking lot off in-bound Clara Barton Parkway, or off 79th St, at end of Riverside Drive in Cabin John. See map at “Visit” on www.Minniesisland.org. From Lock 8, follow the signs and walk downriver (turn left) about 100 yards on the C&O canal to the canoe landing. There, you will put on life jackets and be transported via canoe to the island. The island is about a half mile directly downstream from where the spill entered the Potomac.
